Tendresse boasts a gourmet cocktail list featuring unique drinks like the kombucha-based cocktail called the “Rickey” alongside some of the classics like the Bloody Mary (made vegan of course). The Tendresse bar menu also highlights natural and organic wines, and five different kinds of beer starting at just 3$ a glass. If you’re feeling munchy, enjoy a plate of dumplings served with sesame sauce, or try their known-and-loved green raviolis. The vibe: Having opened its doors just a few days before COVID-19 hit Montreal, Le Maynard is back and better than ever with its now 100% vegan menu. For savoury cravings, we recommend trying the Tofu Nashville sandwich or their house-made smoked mushroom and chickpea burger. Really hungry? Go all the way and add a side of tempura battered deep-fried pickles (yep, it’s as amazing as it sounds). The newest vegan restaurant to join the Montreal vegan food scene is Casa Kaizen, created by vegan sushi restaurant, Sushi Momo. Serving up Asian tapas with Mexican-inspired flavors, you’ll be sure to impress a date at this gorgeous location in the Plateau (it also happens to be Bowhead Pub’s neighbor). Try the Kaizen Salad featuring “Jicama”, a vegetable unique to Latin America, that’s like a cross between a potato and an apple, or one of their most popular dishes, the Sashimi, featuring vegan tuna! Casa Kaizen boasts an incredible range of cocktails like the tequila-based Tiki-la and the Sake-based Hello Lychee.
