SPA Canada in Frédéric Beaulieu’s article from Énergie 102.3: The SPA points its finger to the Minister in the rodeos file
After the group led by Université de Montréal Law professor Alain Roy, this time the SPA Canada chastises the Minister of Tourism and regional minister Julie Boulet.
Tuesday, Ms. Boulet reiterated her support for the St. Tite Western Festival and its rodeo.
In a press release this morning, SPA Canada declares:
‘’It is inconceivable to make the suffering of an animal a public attraction.’’
Like the group led by Alain Roy, the organisation defends that rodeos are illegal in regards to the application of the new law on animal welfare.
Moreover, the mayor of St. Tite, Annie Pronovost, supports the Western Festival and assures that it has animal welfare at heart.
