32nd National Day Against Fur: A media stunt featuring bloody animal killed by the fur industry will be presented.
The 32nd National Day Against Fur will be held on February 14th, 2020 at noon in front of the Canadian Fur Council office located at 1435 St Alexandre, Montreal. Qc Having been commissioned by the National Anti-Fur Day team, it is with pleasure that the Society for the Protection of Animals (SPA) Canada and Ma Voix pour Eux will organize the 2020 event in Montreal.
On this day, SPA Canada and Ma Voix pour Eux will demonstrate simultaneously with the cities of Toronto, Edmonton, Vancouver, Hamilton and many others.
Several awareness posters will be available for participants. In addition, a portable television will be on site to project images of the cruel reality of the fur industry.
Every year in Canada, more than 3 million animals are killed for their fur. Of these victims, 85% are minks and foxes
Currently in Canada, there is almost no legal protection for animals commonly used on fur farms. Provincial animal welfare laws in almost all provinces provide exceptions for all practices deemed "acceptable" by the fur industry itself. Even today, these laws remain blind to the cruelty of these practices.
We are waiting for you in large numbers at the event to give a powerful voice to the millions of animals killed each year for the fur trade. These cruel practices are no longer acceptable in 2020, it is time to make the truth heard.
HISTORY OF THE EVENT
Action Volunteers for Animals launched the National Anti-Fur Day in 1989 to engage animal-savvy Canadians in campaigning against Canada's fur industry.
